ALSTAR VISION STATEMENT

    The mission of ALSTAR is to provide comprehensive emergency response and medical intervention to the people of our communities. We recognize the need for a rapid response to those who require our services, while at all times maintaining our high quality standards to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human life.


MedCom - The "nerve center" from where ambulances, flycars, wheelchair vans and the Starflight medical crew are dispatched. MedCom also serves as the initial point of contact for other community ambulances, whether calling for our paramedic-intercept assistance, helicopter response, or simply calling in patient information to WCA Hospital.

ALSTAR EMS - MTS - Pre-hospital EMS support, both urgent and non-urgent, as agreed to for the Cities of Jamestown, Dunkirk and Fredonia, and support as requested, from neighboring communities.

ATS Division (Jamestown and Dunkirk) - Wheelchair and Ambulatory Van Transportation, along with School Bus Transportation for the Chautauqua County Head Start program.

StarflightMedevac - The regional helicopter medevac service, which provides emergency medical transport to medical facilities and EMS agencies throughout a 75 mile radius, encompassing Chautauqua County and the surrounding areas. Starflight is jointly operated by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office and WCA Healthcare Systems.
