Fly Cars
Paramedic intercept is a service ALSTAR EMS provides to our community volunteer fire department ambulance services. Often due to a lack of staff or no ALS provider being available these squads will call us for a paramedic to assist them in caring for a serious patient. Our paramedic will then respond to that emergency in a ‘fly car’ which is equipped with advanced life support equipment. Upon arrival we jump on-board that department’s ambulance with our equipment and provide ALS level care to the patient enroute to the hospital. A member of the fire department will drive our ‘fly car’ back to the hospital.
